Jim has more than 20 years experience in senior leadership roles, with particular expertise in public and global organisations.
From being a (literally) high-flying executive with the internationally successful Flight Centre Group to securing the financial future of the City of Brisbane with a strategic investment strategy, throughout his career Jim has consistently produced sustained revenue and bottom line improvements. This spans dynamic, high growth organisations in retail, travel, hotels, property, professional services, mining service and government-owned corporations.
Jim's recent projects have focussed on developing a performance-based culture through empowered leadership with start-up and growth companies.
Jim is a qualified chartered accountant who has worked in both a consulting and managerial capacity with international professional services firm Ernst & Young.
He has served at Board level on industry organisations as well as both state and national chartered accounting bodies.
With more than 20 years as a strategic communication, marketing and business professional across tourism, sport, arts, science, business events, government, not-for-profit, education, finance and media, you'd expect some good stories.
Particularly when that experience includes managing corporate and marketing communications for highly regarded organisations including the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, Queensland Museum Network, Brisbane Marketing, Warner Bros. Movie World, Dreamworld and the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE.
Notable career moments have included meeting George Clooney at the Australasian movie premiere of Batman & Robin at Warner Bros. Movie World; taking to the skies in a Black Hawk helicopter in preparation for Queensland's hosting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM); swimming with dolphins at Sea World; receiving a stand-up hug from a 200kg tiger at Dreamworld; and managing world-wide media attention in the discovery of three new species of Queensland dinosaurs.
Louise has considerable experience in media liaison, stakeholder and government relations, communication strategy, internal communication, event management and PR, annual and other reporting, issues management, and writing and editing publications and digital content.
